The Ionospheric Physics Group uses data from Earth observing satellites
to proivde a global picture of various parameters that are of interest
to atmospheric science.
<P>
Prior to the availability of such satellite data, <A HREF="models/models.html">
<B>numerical models</B></A> were used to provide estimates of such parameters on
a global scale.
<P>

to produce maps of the ionosphere.
